Join us at the Orland Free Library this summer for a trip around the world! Our theme this year is “One World, Many Stories,” and we will be visiting a variety of countries and cultures at our Wednesday morning storytimes at 11:00. Come with Miss Nancy to visit Australia, Japan, Norway, Mexico, India, France, China, and the islands of the Caribbean.
Every Thursday afternoon at 3:00 the library will host an activity for all ages. We will kick off the summer with an “Animals Around the World” activity on June 9th. Other activities include “Beaks, Feet, and Feathers” with Lora Haller from the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge on June 23rd, and a Japanese Tanabata Festival on July 7th.
Don’t miss our Special Event— Wild Things, Inc.— on Thursday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. Real live wild animals are coming to Library Park with Gabe the animal guy. It will be a super-special chance to meet creatures you’ve never seen before.
And of course, be sure to sign up for the Summer Reading Game. Read books, have fun, win prizes—all at the Orland Free Library!
