March is Women’s history month.

March brings with it many things. Spring gets sprung. We celebrate the wearing of the green with St. Patrick’s Day March Madness gets into full swing. Orland has its annual Fireman’s Ball, and it is women’s history month. We celebrate the wonderful achievements contributed by great women. Who do you think of when you think of great women? The women who spring to mind for me are: Eleanor Roosevelt, Amelia Earhart, Mother Teresa, Nellie Bly, Madam Curie, Sandra Day O’Connor, Madeleine Albright, Hillary Clinton and My Mother. To me, all great women in history! You can, of course, find out about all these wonderful women at your friendly Orland Free Library, [Well, except my mother]. So, make it a point to come in and take out a biography on one of your favorite women in history.
