The Library will be closed Friday in honor of
Cesar Chavez Day.
A Brief history Lesson – Cesar Chavez fought for
the Rights of farmworkers, using a nonviolent
means (hunger strikes) to bring attention to the
difficult conditions of migrant farmworkers, to
assure them access to bathrooms, lunch breaks and
clean water. He formed the United Farm Workers.
You can also find Biographies about him here at the
Orland Library.
Cesar Chavez Quote: To make
a great dream come true,
the first requirement is a
great capacity to dream; the
second is persistence.
