An exciting online event has been scheduled as part of California Reads (and the larger Searching for Democracy initiative). On Friday, August 17, Cal Humanities will be partnering with Goodreads, a social network for readers with over 9 million members, to host a day-long online Q&A with Daniel Alarcón. His novel Lost City Radio is one of the California Reads selections (and available at the Orland Free Library). Throughout the day on August 17, Daniel will periodically “stop by” to answer questions that users post on the Goodreads page.
PLEASE NOTE that you will need to sign in to Goodreads (using an email address or social media account) and then “join” the discussion as a group member on the site before posting a comment. If you hit “post a comment” on the page above, you will be prompted to sign in and join. You can also create a profile beforehand if you don’t have one already. This only takes a minute.
