The kids at Wednesday storytime went around the world this summer, taking part in stories and songs from many different countries. Along the way we learned to say “Hello” in a variety of languages. Learn along with us and say:
G’day! (Australia) Privyet! (Russia) Hei! and God Dag! (Norway)
Ahn Yeong! (Korea) Namaste! (India) Jambo (Africa–Swahili)
Bonjour! (France) Ni hao! (China) Hola! and Buenos dias! (Spanish)
Although we are saying “Goodbye!” to the Summer Reading Program this week, we will always say “Hello!” to our friends who come to the library.
Storytime for preschoolers will continue on Wednesdays mornings at 11 a.m. If you have a child between the ages of 2 and 5, join us and say “Hi!” to good books, rhymes, songs, and activities. We always have a craft too. It’s a fun and free activity for your youngster.
Posted by Nancy, who says “Thanks!” to all the parents and children who make Wednesdays a great day at the library.
