We all know that if a book is really, really popular it is bound to become a movie. I would really like to know what book and movie you really loved. Usually, {it seems to me} the book is better, I think because it can have more details and descriptions. Once in a while I do like the movie better. I really love the Anne of Green Gables series that Kevin Sullivan did for PBS. If you haven’t seen it, it is available on VHS at the Orland Library. Some more of my absolute favorite book/movie titles are: To Kill a Mockingbird, Gone With the Wind, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Wizard of Oz, The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Harry Potter movies. I know a lot of people are really enjoying the Twilight movies, but I haven’t read the books, so I can’t really make a comparison. A movie I liked, but was disappointed in, was The Outsiders [by S.E. Hinton] I absolutely loved that book! So what are your favorites?

Both A Walk to Remember the movie and the book are good in their own ways. I heard people prefer the movie versions of LOTR trilogy because the book is too thick and kind of boring. I haven’t read the books yet so I don’t actually know.
