Build a Better Business Workshop: Got What it Takes?
On Wednesday January 13, 2010, the first of seven “Build a Better Business” workshops is scheduled on the subject of: “Got What It Takes?” The event is in Orland from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. The “Got What It Takes?” workshop will be held at the West Company Office at 420 W. Walker Street, Orland, CA 95963. This is in downtown Orland, two blocks east of the rail road tracks. Participants at the “Got What It Takes?” workshop will learn about successful business start up strategies, money attitudes, goal setting, time management, and basic budgeting. Seven workshops are scheduled over two months which will cover the marketing, management, accounting, and financial tools that most growing businesses use. These workshops are in a progression leading up to financial forecasting and writing a business plan. Preregistration is required. Call (530) 934-1494. The workshop is free. Preregistration requires name, phone, and income verification used to determine which category of attendance will be credited. Funding for this event is provided by the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development Block Grant Program and the Glenn County Human Resource Agency.
